Humpty Dumpty

A Humpty Dumpty rewrite by a second grader. It goes with the pictures of Humpty on the left. The actual presentation is in a Power Point. All the pictures from the book are cleaned from any print and then the student cuts and pastes the appropriate writing to each picture.

One warm day Humpty Dumpty happily climbs the wall. He slipped from the wall and crashed into the ground and broke in pieces.  All the kings men can’t put Humpty Dumpty together again. “Oh no Humpty is dead! “  yelled the kings men.
Humpty Dumpty is fixed because the doctor patched him up. Humpty Dumpty never wants to climb the wall again. Now all he does is watch TV and eat junk food. The kings men are making fun of Humpty Dumpty. They are saying “weirdo he is a scaredy cat.”
The Dish is going to Humpty Dumpty’s house.  The Dish said “get out of the house right now”. Dish is frustrated because Humpty Dumpty will not get out of the house. Dish is mad at Humpty Dumpty.
A spider frightened Humpty Dumpty out of his house. Humpty Dumpty is in the street in his underwear. The dog was laughing at Humpty Dumpty crying.  Humpty Dumpty said “it is time to go to the wall and climb”.
Humpty Dumpty climbed the wall. When he got there all the kings men were there. Humpty Dumpty peeked at the kings men. The kings men are looking at the horse on the ledge. The horse is scared, the kings men are worried. Humpty Dumpty is thinking about saving the horse. Humpty Dumpty is climbing the wall to save the horse. Humpty Dumpty is almost there. The kings men are cheering for Humpty Dumpty!  He got to the top. He is helping the horse get down. Now Humpty Dumpty is coming down the wall. He is not scared to climb walls now.
